For story purposes, we’ll stop there, but you won’t guess what occurs next. This horror-infused thriller is undoubtedly designed to be seen. There’s a lot to like artistically, and it might remind you of David Lynch or Nicolas Winding Refn’s work (The Neon Demon, in particular). 11. I Believe You Should Leave with Tim Robinson
After a long hiatus, Netflix’s odd yet beloved sketch comedy show I Think You Should Leave back for a second season. Both seasons are only 15 minutes long, so bingeing them won’t take long. 15. Shadow and Bone
In new years, Netflix has had a many of success with its fantasy television offerings. Shadow and Bone had a many to live up to in a genre, including The Witcher, but it more than holds its thanks to an exhilarating and likable characters, winding plot, and abundance of drama.
Shadow and Bone take a some episodes to get into, and there could have been a slightly more action. Shadow and Bone is a new world you can readily get lost in – and one you’ll desire to do so if you’re engaged in its tale and characters. Netflix has also assured that Season 2 of Shadow and Bone will be produced.
Based on Julia Quinn’s romance novels, this brave and sexually charged Netflix period drama has swiftly become the word of the ‘town.’ It observes a group of young socialites as they navigate a season of balls, betrothals, also betrayals in 1813 London – and try to outsmart Lady Whistledown. Her ‘gossip sheets’ may make or shatter a debutante’s image instantly.
It’s mostly a blast, with snappy storytelling, vibrant costumes, and sets, and fun versions of Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande performed on period instruments. Its diverse ensemble is also welcomes relief, demonstrating Bridgerton’s willingness to update and liven up a stale genre.
It’s not all pleasant sailing, notably in one mainly remembered episode’s problematic treatment of sexual assault. Given the skill on board and the positive response, we wish the show’s creators can approach the show’s relationships with a little more care in season 2, Bridgerton.
17. The Umbrella Academy
As this whimsical adaptation of the Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá-created series of comics demonstrates, Netflix didn’t need to partner with Marvel to generate a terrific superhero program. After their adopted father is murdered, superpowered siblings – the Hargreeves – reunite and face a possible apocalypse in Umbrella Academy.
This breezy and enjoyable show almost makes up for the absence of fresh Marvel content coming to Netflix with a superb ensemble cast, including Elliot Page and Robert Sheehan. The Umbrella Academy season 2 is now available, transporting the Hargreeves to a new world. It’s much better than the first season, and a third season is planned for 2022.
18. The Witcher
The Witcher books by Andrzej Sapkowski, previously made into a series of successful games, are Netflix’s first large fantasy series. It would be a treat if you were disappointed by the finale of Game of Thrones. The best parts of season one are the monster-of-the-week episodes, which see Geralt facing off against a dark creature. Henry Cavill plays monster hunter Geralt of Rivia in a story that spans decades and nations, though the best parts of season one are the monster-of-the-week episodes, which see Geralt facing off against a dark creature. These, too, frequently have twist endings, and they’re entertaining.
The Witcher isn’t precisely as ‘prestige’ television as Game of Thrones attempted to be, but that’s not always a negative thing. This is a lovely, funny fantasy series that appears to be somewhat pricey. There’s a many to look forward to in The Witcher season 2, which will eventually be released on December 17, 2021, thanks to a terrific supporting cast and a well-drawn universe. If you’re having trouble keeping up with the show’s peculiar time-hopping structure, check out The Witcher chronology.

Don’t be put off by the rather amusing name. Money Heist, also known in Spanish-speaking countries as La Casa del Papel, is a dramatic heist drama about a bunch of thieves who are brought together by an enigmatic character known as The Professor to loot the Royal Mint of Spain. This is an odd and cunning heist show that will capture you immediately away, with complex characters, significant surprises, and career-making performances.
Money Heist, which has long been a tremendous hit with a Spanish-speaking audience, has now acquired a large audience in the English-speaking world as well. If you haven’t seen it yet, a new series of episodes has just been released on Netflix, offering you a total of 31 episodes to watch, divided into two unique overarching stories about the same cast of individuals.
Turn off the default dub and listen to the original Spanish audio with subtitles regardless of what you do. This series may be the best Netflix show you haven’t watched yet, and now that all five parts are out, it’s the ideal moment to binge-watch it.
20. Cobra Kai
Netflix just acquired the rights to the Karate Kid continuation TV Show Cobra Kai, which was once a YouTube original. After being defeated by Danny LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) 34 years ago, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) reopens the Cobra Kai dojo to educate a new generation of youths on fighting is also welcoming. This reignites Johnny and Danny’s old feud, with Danny serving as the show’s villain this time, a brilliant twist on the premise of the previous film.
If you like the Karate Kid, you’ll enjoy this program, and both of the protagonists are in surprisingly good shape, considering they’re in their fifties and executing battle stunts. Season 3 is currently available on Netflix, and Cobra Kai season 4 will be released in December.
21. The Haunting of Hill House/Bly Manor
If you’re seeking the best Netflix horror TV show, look no further than The Haunting of Hill House, which will be followed by The Haunting of Bly Manor in 2020. Hill House is a narrative of a family who returns to their former house to confront the circumstances that pushed them away. It is a drama with many horrific scenes brought to life by a fantastic ensemble cast (including Carla Gugino and Henry Thomas).
Meanwhile, Bly Manor doesn’t quite reach the same terrifying heights as Hill Mansion – it’s about an American au pair who seems after some widowed children in another massive old house with plenty of weird goings-on – but it’s a gothic romance at its core, and admirably distinct from Hill House. On Netflix, both are worth binge-watching.
22. The Crown
The Crown was Netflix’s first main foray into a British prestige drama, such as those produced by the BBC. The show’s massive budget allows for a superb representation of Queen Elizabeth II’s life, which was first represented by Claire Foy and most recently by Olivia Colman in season 3, as well as a stellar ensemble cast.
Even if you have mixed sentiments about the royal family in real life, this open-minded drama is well worth your time. Season 4 of The Crown, which concentrates on Charles and Diana’s relationship and stars Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher, is now online, and it’s just as meaty and riveting as the previous seasons. The Crown season 5 is selected to premiere in 2022, with Imelda Staunton reprising her role as the Queen.
23. The Queen’s Gambit
The Queen’s Gambit, a seven-episode Netflix miniseries, was the most incredible Netflix show of 2020. While chess may not sound interesting, The Queen’s Gambit manages to weave it into a story of self-actualization, romance, and drug abuse. Anya Taylor-Joy plays Beth Harmon, an orphan taught chess by a gifted janitor before taking on the male-dominated chess arena. In essence, her abilities allow her to live a slightly better life, but at a cost.
Also if you don’t know how to play chess, these competitive sequences in The Queen’s Job are thrilling to watch, also Taylor-Joy does an best job of portraying a girl whose unique talents disguise the fact that she’s constantly battling addiction. Based on the real novel of the same title, this adaptation has Scott Frank as one of its co-creators, who previously created another of Netflix’s best shows, the Western drama Godless.
This is an excellent Netflix binge-watch: seven episodes is the perfect length. It is good worth your time to watch.
Ozark was compared to Breaking Bad because of its story of a seemingly good guy who becomes sucked into deep criminal activity. But it’s an entirely different beast, not least because of the title’s visually distinct setting. It’s carved out its niche as a family drama by the third season.
Marty Bryde (Jason Bateman) relocates his family to Missouri’s Ozarks, where he is tasked with laundering $500 millions for a drug lord who threatens his family, and his wife, Wendy (Laura Linney). Bateman, a comedy veteran who also directs episodes in each season, has a dramatic breakout role in this dark, mature series. Good mood to watch it, but if you like programs like Fargo, you’ll appreciate it.
Ozark is one of Netflix’s most underappreciated shows, and it’s worth watching even if you don’t care about Wendy’s character growth or Laura Linney’s performance. Ozark season 4th, a final 14-episode season split into two halves, is currently in production.
25. Better Call Saul
Better Call Saul, a prequel to Breaking Bad, has been on the air for almost as long as its predecessor, with its 5th season currently airing on AMC. You undoubtedly saw the first few episodes of season 1 during the media frenzy surrounding Breaking Bad’s finale, but it’s worth paying attention to the subsequent seasons of this spin-off.
Jimmy McGill’s metamorphosis into Saul Goodman is a slow, nuanced character study that introduces an entire cast of interesting new characters, including Jimmy’s older brother Chuck (Michael McKean). It also gives us to spend more time with Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a fan favorite from the Breaking Bad series, and other memorable characters from the show that we won’t reveal here. It’s worth watching before Better Call Saul season 6 airs in 2021, as it has a darker tone to it than the last seasons.
26. Russian Doll
Natasha Lyonne (Orange Is the New Black) plays Nadia, a woman who, like Groundhog Day, continues dying and reliving her 36th birthday bash in a strange time loop.
Russian Doll is a must-see for its sarcastic and hilarious exploration of living and death. It alternates between laugh-out-loud laughter and terrible sadness. Netflix announced in June 2019 that Russian Doll had been renewed for a second season, which is well-deserved.
David Fincher is no stranger to Netflix, having helmed the first episode of House of Cards, but in Mindhunter, he goes full Fincher. It’s based on the same-named book by John Douglas and follows the lives of an FBI profiler tasked with tracking serial killers. It’s set in the 1970s and early 1980s, and it follows a trio of lead characters as they interview legendary serial killers in stressful confrontations.
Fincher is also very hands-on, directing four episodes in the first and three in the second. Season 3 of Mindhunter is currently on “indefinite pause,” but given that this is some of the director’s best work to date, we’re hopeful for a return.
28. Stranger Things
When it comes to television and film, the 1980s are the current nostalgia decade. Ghostbusters, shell suits, and Sony Walkmans are all favorites with filmmakers.
Stranger Things is another fantastic ode to this time. The tale centers around a tiny village, a group of friends, a missing person, and a shady science lab and draws heavily on Spielberg, John Carpenter, and Stephen King. Anything else would give away the show’s many twists and turns, which are full of fantastic spooky fun.
Last year’s third season was great best shows on netflix, and each following set of episodes further deepens your commitment to the tales and friendships of these kids. Season 4 stands set to premiere in 2022.
